Ultra Deep Solutions Gears for DSCV Matisse Launch in April

Ultra Deep Solutions (UDS) said that its new diving support construction vessel (DSCV) Matisse is set to be launched in China on April 11, 2019.

The Matisse is an MT 6027 design, and with 145 meters in length and a beam of 27 meters will be the largest ship in UDS fleet fit to accommodate up to 140 personnel.

In November 2017, UDS held a keel laying ceremony for Matisse at the China Merchants Heavy Industry (CMHI) yard.

The DP3 vessel will feature 300-meter rated 24 men twin bell saturation system, almost 30,000 m3 of helium storage and twin SPHL.

The vessel will be equipped with 400t Huisman crane which can reach water depths of 5200 meters.

The Ice C Class vessel will have 2,200 square meters of open deck space suitable for a well intervention tower and flex lay tower.

Back in January 2018, UDS exercised an option with CHMI for Matisse sister vessel The Kandinsky.

UDS has 4 vessels on the water: Lichtenstein, Picasso, Van Gogh and Warhol. Still to come out will be Matisse, Kandinsky, Rembrandt and Van Gogh 2.
