Subsea Engineering Associates (SEA) has secured a contract from Woodside Energy for Define Phase engineering services for the Scarborough development export trunkline.
The contract will enable SEA to utilize its ICE Platform, and enable rapid delivery of engineering and a mature digital basis of design to be carried into FEED.
SEA have subcontracted INTECSEA to provide support for the project.
The Scarborough field is located 375 kilometers west-north-west of the Burrup Peninsula in Western Australia.
The current Woodside proposal for development of the field includes a 430 km large diameter export trunkline routed from a deep water infield facility, up and over the continental shelf and onto the Woodside operated infrastructure on the Burrup Peninsula.
Woodside is targeting a concept select decision in Q2 2018, front end engineering and design (FEED) entry in Q1 2019 and a final investment decision (FID) in 2020.
