JDR Cable Systems has launched a global intervention, workover and control systems (IWOCS) rental service.
JDR’s IWOCS rentals offer offshore oil and gas operators the ability to increase production from subsea wells without capex investment by providing a temporary connection. The systems can also be used for intervention, completions and plug and abandonment applications.
David Nemetz, director for the Americas at JDR, said: “In today’s price-pressured operating environment, oil and gas operators are focused on extracting more out of existing assets in the most cost-effective way. As sector specialists, we have delivered more than 200 of these IWOCS internationally so it made sense to take that technical expertise and offer it on a rental basis, giving operators additional flexibility and choice.”
JDR will also offer a wide range of supporting hardware and equipment including chemical injection units, hydraulic test units and umbilical reels, the company noted.
Nemetz added: “This new IWOCS rental service is an important part of our growth strategy. It opens up a wider oil and gas market for JDR and positions us as a leading global services provider for the subsea sector.”
