i-Tech Services Bags IRM Contract in APAC Region

i-Tech Services’ MMA Pinnacle has secured its first inspection, repair and maintenance (IRM) contract with an undisclosed oil and gas services company, based in Malaysia.

The contract follows the signing of a long-term vessel charter agreement in the Asia Pacific region earlier this year.

The work scope for the 30-day campaign ranges from the provision of general visual inspection (GVI) services through to changing out subsea hardware in water depths of 1,400 meters, using the vessel’s 150 tonne crane.

Mobilising in Singapore, the MMA Pinnacle has been fitted with a range of i-Tech Services’ equipment for specialised subsea inspection and field support projects. This includes two 3,000-meter rated Centurion SP Work Class ROV systems, which are specifically designed to service deepwater projects.

James Christie, regional director-Asia Pacific, i-Tech Services, said: “Winning this work and then mobilising so soon after taking control of the vessel is a major achievement for the team and demonstrates there is real demand for our world-class services, assets and capabilities in the region.

“We are firmly committed to the expansion of our business in the Asia Pacific region and we’re sure that this project will be the first of many as we look to strengthen our market-leading position as a fully-integrated and responsive Life-of-Field partner.”
