Bibby Offshore Utilizes C-Kore Testing Units for East Irish Sea Campaign

C-Kore Systems recently delivered C-Kore subsea testing units to Bibby Offshore for use on a fault-finding campaign in the East Irish Sea.

The units were used to locate the source of low IR on the field and reduce the testing time.

According to the company, its testing units are becoming the tool of choice by operators and installation contractors to monitor the health of electrical systems on both new installation projects and fault-finding campaigns.

Trevor Mackie, lead engineer for Bibby Offshore, said: “The C-Kore units again proved their benefit for subsea IR testing. Our divers were able to use these small units to efficiently locate and confirm the fault. The offshore support was excellent, with the onboard technician providing a comprehensive briefing to the divers on the operation of the unit and answering any
queries.”

Greg Smith, technical manager for C-Kore Systems, added: “It‘s great to continually get such good feedback from our customers. Our tools were designed to be easy to use, compact and automated. We make the subsea testing simple, saving our customers time and money on their offshore operations.”
