SeaBird Exploration has received a new contract from a repeat customer for source work in the US Gulf of Mexico.
The survey has an expected duration 40 – 60 days and will begin medio May 2019.
The Osprey Explorer, which recently completed an OBN-survey for another customer, will perform the work, SeaBird informed.
The Osprey Explorer, with a length of 81,16 meters and a beam of 15,96 meters, joined the SeaBird fleet in August 2006 after being converted to 2D Long offset/source vessel in Poland.
It is the first worldwide maritime vessel that DNV has classed as ‘Seismic Vessel’.
