Rovco joins CWind for East Anglia ONE subsea work

Rovco has secured a contract by CWind for subsea work on the East Anglia ONE offshore wind project in the UK.

The Rovco team, managed by CWind, will carry out a campaign of subsea inspection and survey work on all subsea structures, informing the maintenance of the turbine and substation foundations.

The multi-million-pound project will utilize a combined DPII vessel and crew transfer vessel (CTV) solution, alongside a work-class ROV.

In mid-April, CWind won a contract by ScottishPower Renewables to provide subsea maintenance of the foundations and offshore substation, subsea surveys, corrective maintenance, as well as pre-engineering studies at the East Anglia ONE project.

The 714 MW offshore wind farm delivered first power to the UK grid in early September last year.

The last of the project’s 102 Siemens Gamesa 7 MW turbines was recently installed at the site. Full commissioning is expected later this year.
