Bergen district court has again dismissed claims of €9 million from PGS UK (former Arrow Seismic) against GC Rieber Shipping’s subsidiary Armada Seismic Invest II in connection with the delivery of 3D seismic vessel Polar Duchess.
To remind, in 2012 Arrow alleged that Armada had acted negligently when the company took delivery of the Polar Duchess in October 2011 and claimed about €9 million in damages.
The dispute was first resolved in March 2016, after various delays due to procedural issues. The following month PGS UK appealed the decision made by Bergen district court, and took the case to another round.
However, the claim against Armada has been dismissed, and the company has been awarded full legal fees.
The decision may be appealed, GC Rieber said on Monday.
