Offshore services provider, Control & Applications Offshore Marine Management (CAOMM), has signed a contract with ULO Systems for the installation of 12,000 concrete mattresses utilising sister company Offshore Marine Management’s (OMM) multi mattress deployment system, MDS3.
The contract, due to be delivered in Q1 2019, covers the installation of 12,000 concrete mattresses, manufactured by ULO themselves, to minimise erosion by protecting a river bank on-site at a Nuclear Plant in a rural area of Bangladesh.
The supply of the MDS3 system will be supported by specialist personnel provided by sister company, Offshore Marine People & Academy (OMPA).
The MDS3 system most recently completed a mattress installation to protect subsea cable on the Scilly Isle connector project off the coast of the United Kingdom. The use of the MDS3 on these two projects shows the capability and versatility of the system on a wide range of projects and environments.
Rob Grimmond, managing director for CAOMM, said of the agreement, “We are pleased to support this exciting project providing the opportunity to expand into a new part of the world.
“This latest award from ULO further demonstrates the capability of both the CAOMM team and the MDS3 tool to adapt to their service offering to the given situation in a tough environment.”
