Kevin Forshaw, Associate Director Enterprise and Research Impact, will be leaving the National Oceanography Centre on July 20.
He will take up a position with the University of Plymouth, as Director of Industrial and Strategic Partnerships within the Faculty of Science and Engineering.
Forshaw will leave a lasting legacy of successfully launching the Marine Robotics Innovation Centre and securing the first group of anchor tenants, providing the platform for future success. He has developed and embedded a programme of client collaborative research projects with key company partners that has generated a substantive portfolio of Innovate UK funding.
The NOC remains committed to the innovation agenda, and working closely with the marine industry. Adam Schink, in the interim, will take on the role of Head of Strategic Business Development and Innovation, with Aidan Thorn filling Schink’s role as the Marine Robotics Innovation Centre Business Manager.
Adam Schink said: “We wish Kevin the best of luck with his new endeavour and I am honoured to accept the Head of Strategic Business Development and Innovation position. I look forward to building on the already successful portfolio of innovative projects and partnerships at the NOC.”
