Magma Global Nets TEN Flowline Deal from Tullow

Tullow Oil subsidiary, Tullow Ghana, has awarded a 2.5 km flowline supply deal to Magma Global for its Tweneboa, Enyenra, Ntomme (TEN) fields project in Ghana. The 6 inch spoolable carbon composite m-pipe will be deployed from a 10 meter diameter reel with a 20-ton tensioner, and the total weight of pipe and deployment package is under 100 tons, Magma explained.

As a result, the flowline can be deployed from the Tullow infield multi purpose construction vessel.

Magma Global COO Charles Tavner said, “We are delighted to be able to help Tullow reduce the cost for this infill work. At 1,800 meters this is another deepwater deployment in a production application for Magma m-pipe, in what has already been a busy year for us.”

First oil flowed from the TEN fields to the FPSO Prof. John Evans Atta Mills in August 2016.

Tullow is the operator of the TEN fields and holds a 47.175% stake. Tullow’s joint venture partners are Anadarko Petroleum Corporation (17%), Kosmos Energy (17%), Ghana National Petroleum Corporation (15%) and PetroSA (3.875%).
