KCA Deutag has won a multi-million pound deal for work on three offshore platforms in the UK North Sea.
The five-year contract extension is for drilling operations and maintenance services on the Ninian South, Ninian Central and Tiffany platforms operated by Canadian Natural Resources International (CNRI).
KCA pointed to work the two firms have done in recent years to reduce costs and increase productivity in light of the new lower oil price environment, resulting in a series of industry awards and recognitions.
The firm’s president of Offshore, Rune Lorentzen, said: “We are delighted to have won this new contract with CNRI.
“For several years now KCA Deutag, CNRI and other contractors have adopted a one-team approach, drawing on all our expertise, to drive a culture of innovation and efficiency throughout the operation and maximise oil production.
“This has been hugely successful and we look forward to working together to continue this success in the future.”
Ninian South and Central lie in the east Shetland basin, around 240miles north-east of Aberdeen.
Tiffany is located in the Central North Sea, about 255miles north-east of the city.
