INTECSEA has secured a contract by ConocoPhillips Australia to provide subsea Front End Engineering Design (FEED) services for the Barossa development located offshore North Australia.
The scope of work awarded to INTECSEA includes the FEED engineering for infield rigid flowline system, gas export pipeline between Barossa and the existing Bayu Undan pipeline, associated dynamic risers and umbilicals, flowline and pipeline end termination structures and subsea tie-in spools.
The contract will mainly be executed from INTECSEA’s Perth office, with support being provided from other offices including Houston, London and Delft, the company noted.
Nick Brown, regional director for INTECSEA Australia said: “INTECSEA has extensive experience in the design of subsea flowline and export pipeline systems and has previously undertaken similar scopes of work for a range of clients.”
Barossa is an offshore gas and light condensate project that proposes to provide a new source of gas to the existing Darwin LNG (DLNG) facility.
The Barossa joint venturers are ConocoPhillips Australia (operator, 37.5%), SK E&S Australia (37.5%) and Santos Offshore (25.0%).
