Energy Voice | Glacier in transatlantic partnership for £1m annual revenue boost

Aberdeen-registered Glacier Energy Services has entered into a transatlantic partnership to boost revenues by £1million per year.

The firm, which recently acquired rivals Aberdeen Radiators, has signed an agreement with Houston’s MAKO Oilfield Services.

The deal will see Glacier provide a fleet of its cutting and bevelling machinery to MAKO for rent in the local market, with the Texas company acting as local service provider in North and South America.

Glacier said the agreement is expected to bring £1million in incremental revenue per annum in the coming years.

It comes as Glacier aims to increase its global footprint, which currently includes several UK bases, as well as partnerships in the Middle East.

Last month the company took over Aberdeen Radiators, a North Sea-focussed specialist in repair of radiators and heat exchangers.

Glacier said it had “more confidence” to complete an acquisition with signs of the North Sea market “picking up”.
