Energy giant Equinor has today announced that it has stuck a deal with IKM Subsea for the provision of ROV inspection services, project management, planning and engineering services.
IKM Subsea, who hold three of offices in Aberdeen and one in Newcastle, has signed a two-year deal with the Norwegian firm and is thought to be of “considerable size”, according to one newspaper in Norway.
Jan Vegard Hesten, director of operations at IKM Subsea, said: “The market appreciates the cost-effective model we are working for. This is yet another important step for us as a company and organization.”
The terms of the deal were set out within an agreement already agreed between IKM Subsea and Norske Shell.
The Siam Pride vessel has been provided from Norske Shell to Equinor for this contract.
IKM Subsea has been contracted for further comment.
