Emergency services confirmed that they transported a casualty from an offshore platform to hospital yesterday.
Responding to a call made at around 10.45am yesterday morning, the air ambulance was sent out after reports of a person in distress on board the Lomond Platform.
The helicopter took the casualty to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary (ARI) and landed shortly after 1pm.
The Stonehaven Coastguard also assisted with the operation.
A coastguard spokeswoman said: “The casualty has been transferred to the care of the ambulance service.”
The coastguard was unable to say how serious the injuries were.
