DORIS Wraps Up Conceptual Study for Western Gas

DORIS Engineering has completed an engineering study for Western Gas, a Perth based operator, who is looking at developing the Equus gas field on the North West Shelf by 2023.

Benoit Lamoureux, DORIS managing director, Asia Pacific, said: “Taking advantage of DORIS’ strong track record in field development studies, we engaged with Western Gas locally and delivered a fit for purpose study that met Western Gas’ expectations and needs. We look forward to continuing our working relation with Western Gas and wish them the best for Equus.”

Andrew Leibovitch, CEO of Western Gas added: “Thanks to DORIS, Western Gas was able to investigate alternative options for developing the Equus field, which allowed us to move forward with our base case and consequently issued the RFP to secure a local partner. DORIS’ work was of high quality and we will definitely consider their engineering support in the future.”

The Equus gas project, comprises 11 gas and condensate fields in the Carnarvon Basin, about 200 kilometers north-west of Onslow in Western Australia.

Western Gas acquired the Equus gas project from Hess Corporation in November 2017.
