DEME Group has completed inter-array cable laying works at the SeaMade offshore wind farm in Belgium.
DEME’s DP3 cable installation vessel Living Stone laid 64 inter-array cables with a total length of 71.2km.
According to the company, the vessel operated at peak production levels, laying up to three cables per day.
To remind, the inter-array works started in mid-April. The cable was provided by JDR Cable Systems.
SeaMade comprises the 235 MW Mermaid and the 252 MW Seastar projects which will feature 58 Siemens Gamesa SG 8.0-167 DD turbines. Project commissioning is expected by the end of the year.
