Delmar to Provide Drilling Rig Mooring in Equatorial Guinea

Delmar Systems has received a mooring contract for the Development Driller III semi-submersible ultra-deepwater drilling rig for ExxonMobil’s drilling campaign offshore Equatorial Guinea.

Under the contract Delmar will provide engineering design services, project management, mooring equipment, and mooring installation services for the Transocean-owned Development Driller III.

The Development Driller III is planned to be on 8-point OMNI-Max preset mooring systems for the duration of the ExxonMobil’s drilling campaign, Delmar noted.

We are delighted to continue Delmar’s close relationship with Transocean and ExxonMobil on this scope of work,” said Josiah McVicar, Delmar senior project manager. “We look forward to continued success with both Transocean and ExxonMobil on this campaign through safely and efficiently completing all mooring operations to Delmar’s high standards. This award recognizes our long relationship with ExxonMobil and Transocean as well as our strong presence in the Global MODU mooring market.”

The project is expected to begin Q1 2019 and Delmar will be the sole mooring services provider to Transocean for the Development Driller III campaign.
