CCC UE Expands Subsea Fleet

Abu Dhabi-based offshore construction company Consolidated Contractors Company (Underwater Engineering) has taken delivery of its newbuild DP2 dive support construction vessel the Said Aletheia.

Built by China’s ZPMC shipyard, Said Aletheia arrived in Abu Dhabi this week after completing sea trials.

The vessel is the fourth in CCC UE’s fleet that now complements the company’s capabilities to preform heavier subsea construction works.

The Said Aletheia is a 93.6-meter ABS DP2 classed vessel with a built in 12-man saturation diving system together with its own SPHL, 150T AHC and 50T cranes onboard. The vessel is capable of carrying and laying subsea flexible products weighing over 2,000T in addition to handling subsea pipeline spools and platforms risers with the large available deck space.

Fleet expansion will also be complemented with the acquisition a new subsea trenching and back-filling machine CCC UE is expecting to take delivery later this month.
