Ashtead Technology Hires New Staff

Subsea equipment specialist Ashtead Technology has added six new technicians to its team.

Ross Ingram and Kyle Roger join Ashtead as experienced subsea technicians. Ingram joins Ashtead Technology from Sonardyne where he worked for seven years across a variety of workshop roles, most recently holding the position of lead workshop supervisor. Roger has previous experience as an offshore survey engineer within the subsea survey industry.

In their new roles, they will be responsible for the inspection, testing and repair of Ashtead Technology’s subsea survey equipment, carrying out electrical safety testing, preparing equipment for key projects and providing customers with critical technical support.

Andrew Mckie, Stephen Lawrie, Logan Buchanan and Scott Bishop, have also joined Ashtead as trainee technicians. They will be responsible for ensuring all equipment is prepared, tested, labelled, identified, stored safely, calibrated and packaged appropriately before delivery.

Allan Pirie, CEO of Ashtead Technology, said: “We are delighted to be expanding our expertise with the addition of six new staff to our team. Our two new experienced technicians bring with them invaluable technical knowledge and are already adding value to key projects.

“At Ashtead we see the advantages of investing in new talent and our hiring of four new trainee technicians is testament to this. We look forward to supporting them throughout the early stages of their career as they look to develop their engineering skills and build industry experience.”
